During the initial months of the pandemic, I had the honor of serving as a community reviewer for the Urban Health Institute COVID-19 Small Grants initiative. I was able to provide input on three of the applications submitted. Each application was reviewed by both the Hopkins and wider Baltimore community, and resulted in six funded research projects.
