Yoga Therapy for Breast Cancer

Anyone coping with breast cancer is invited to join us this fall for an experiential exploration of how aspects of yoga therapy might best support you during this pandemic.

Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga. Over the years breast cancer patients have contributed to the scientific evidence base and research now also shows that incorporating the tools of yoga may be able to help:

* improve physical functioning

* reduce fatigue

* reduce stress

* improve sleep

* improve quality of life

These are challenging times AND there are many tools available to you. Come explore what might be right for you.

Your instructor for this yoga therapy workshop is Amy Genevieve Kozak. Amy is a Kripalu Yoga Teacher, an Internationally Certified Integrative Yoga Therapist, as well as a Duke Integrative Medicine trained and National Board Certified Integrative Health Coach. Patient-centered care is a passion they first cultivated when their mom was a Johns Hopkins' patient, and for the past four years that passion has also been shared with Johns Hopkins' first year medical students. Now it's your turn!
